Meeting and Pickup
Hotel pickup and drop-off in town in Fairbanks (Not Airbnb or private residences). All other locations we ask to meet up at one of the pick-up hotels.
What To Expect
Treat yourself to something special while visiting Fairbanks. Head out on a guided float trip and enjoy good old-fashioned fishing on the Chena River. This day adventure is perfect for the whole family, and all fishing equipment is provided. Please note children under 5 years old are not permitted.
Your guided fishing trip begins with pickup from your Fairbanks hotel. Head to the river for a relaxing float and excellent fishing opportunities in Alaska’s beautiful wilderness.
Try your luck catching northern pike and Arctic grayling while drifting along the scenic Chena River. Enjoy a light snack as you take in the peaceful surroundings and keep an eye out for local wildlife.
Your experienced fishing guide will take you to the best fishing spots and help you make the most of your time on the water, using either fly-fishing equipment or spinning rods (catch-and-release only).
After an enjoyable day on the river, return to your Fairbanks hotel with memories of a unique Alaska fishing experience.

Yes. Whatever the fishing calls for: live bait, frozen bait, cut bait, or chum, our Charter Captains will have plentiful supplies on hand. The same thing goes for artificial bait such as lures, flies, or plugs.
Jul 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
