Haines Float Trips

This experience was phenomenal. Our driver and rower did such a wonderful job. We love supporting a local family company and they did not disappoint! Highly recommended!

The tour was great. The guides especially Ben were excellent. Customer Service worked hard to get us on a tour because we missed our scheduled tour time. Great people, fun trip

Michael was excellent. He gave a great overview of the town, and got us geared up. We enjoyed his anecdotes as we drove to the drop off point. Steven was a fabulous guide. The sights were incredible, and he was very knowledgeable.

Alyssa was a delightful river guide. We enjoyed our time with her very much. We didn’t see many eagles but that wasn’t something she could control. Would go again if given the opportunity.

Danny was great, and Shannon was super nice as well.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this Eagle preserve float trip. Our raft guide, Zack, was very knowledgeable and extremely enthusiastic about his hometown of Haines, and we learned a lot along the way. We were lucky enough to see a lot of bald eagles, a bear, a moose and lots of other animals. The scenery was picturesque and Zack/Becky went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable.There was no paddling and the guides took care of getting us safely downstream. The water was very calm (no rapids as this was a float trip) and the weather couldn’t have been better.I would recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxed and leisurely way of seeing a side of Alaska that many tourists will not see.

Ian was informative and gave vivid and hilarious stories about the tiny town of Haines. Jayke was our float tour guide and paddled our 7 person float down the Chilkoot River. He answered our questions and made us feel comfortable and safe. We may have seen a few eagles, but spent a good bit of the time trying to hold on to the sides of our raft. Lunch was tasty, and overall the tour was great!

Outstanding. Great guide Brandon. We saw a mother moose and cubs, a bear and bald eagles- all while relaxing.

We had an amazing half-day float trip on the Chilkat River and the main purpose was to see Eagles, of which we saw many. In Addition, we saw a brown bear and a moose with her two young babies. The weather was perfect, the temperature warm and the guide, Brendan, we informative, personable and excellent on every level. This is an excursion not to be missed and Brendan made it an amazing day on the river. Also, the other team members were excellent, helpful, personable and added to he wonderful experience.

We had Gianna as a tour guide and she was hands down the best tour guide I’ve had on any trip. Infectious personality, great knowledge, and her passion for what she does shone through at every turnI can’t recommend this excursion enough and if you get Gianna you are guaranteed a great time!

We did this as a day trip from Skagway where our cruise ship was berthed overnight. We loved the bus trip from Haines to the river departure point. We even saw a brown bear with 2 cubs along the way. The rafting down the river was great, with our informative guide Trench. Saw lots of eagles, and got a good feel for the wilderness of the river. Highly recommend this adventure.

Had a wonderful time. Started out with the bus ride up the river and the guide and driver was very informative. Then once we got on the boat our guide Noah was excellent, answered all our questions and gave plenty of information. Would definitely recommend them.

Absolutely incredible experience we won’t forget, great and skilled guides, lost count of how many eagles we saw!I would absolutely love to do this again.My only criticism and the reason for not giving 5 stars is because the meeting point was moved and nobody told us. We were waiting at the listed meeting point and if we hadn’t tried our luck and asked around because no one had shown, we may have missed the trip altogether.
