My husband asked if I wanted to go to this while he was booking our trip thru Alaska Railroad and I said sure as I always like musicals! I didn't really know what to expect but I had a really nice time. The singers/actors were phenomenal - I tried to find more information on them but I couldn't. Wish they had a play book that said who they were and what their background was. The dinner was very good - ribs meat falls off the bone. I have never really tried salmon but these were cut into small slices so I tried one and I liked it - and I am not that big of a fish fan! Dessert was as great as everyone said it would be. Happens to be blueberry season in Alaska so I'm sure the fresh berries helped! A few days later, we went to the Denali visitor center and I realized that the story we had seen was based on real people - kind of wish I had seen that first for more context. All in all, a fun night (but I wasn't called on to participate thank goodness!). The transportation from the hotel was very nice to have.

Easy to figure out where to meet, boat was right there by our cruise ship. The Capitan and people helping on the boat were fantastic. Seating inside or out was a nice option. We sat outside since we dressed in waterproof clothes, knowing Alaska has a lot of rain, and that we would be out on the water, in wind. Dress warm, bring gloves, and a good hat. Even though I wore wool socks and had good hiking boots on, my toes were freezing by the end of the day. Great sight seeing for eagles, whales, sea otters, and the little scenic islands around Sitka. Dinner was delicious. We were glad we booked this tour.

Loved this excursion
We lucked out to do this excursion in beautiful sunny weather with smooth seas and excellent visibility. That did help us to have an amazing experience. Conner our naturalist was informative and knowledgeable. We saw several whales...otters, sea lions, eagles on our tour. Binoculars were provided on each seat row. We enjoyed learning about the wildlife and area. The lunch at the lodge was outstanding. We were so impressed with the prime rib and crab and all the delicious sides. Our party of 6 agreed this was one of the 2 best meals we had on a 7 day cruise. The staff at the lodge were friendly. There were great picture taking opportunities. Overall this excursion was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska.

Amazing experience!
I traveled with my two teenage sons. The adventure sampler was amazing, and our tour guide Shasta had SO much knowledge about both the tour and Alaska, Alaskan history, landmarks, nature, and so much more. The views were breathtaking, and we got amazing pictures. Shasta was so patient during both the kayak trip and the hike. I highly recommend her to anyone, as she answered my endless questions with enthusiasm for the entire tour. Thanks for an amazing experience!

Will was charming and professional with expert local knowledge. We both learned much about Hatcher Pass and Palmer from his personal expertise of the area as this is his home! It was a wonderful experience that proved to be distinct from all of the other areas we visited in Alaska. We are glad we went on this as we both enjoyed what we saw and learned a lot about the area surrounding Palmer from a local who represents his home very well. By the way, although we chose not to, you can try your hand at panning for gold!

We definitely love to learn about local artisans and it was a bonus to have a lovely cocktail after seeing the distillery. Our tour guide, Mikey, was awesome and so easy going. We were the only ones on the tour so he made a special trip and took us to an overlook of Skagway. It was a beautiful day with beautiful views!
