The van drive was nice. We saw salmon and a few eagles far away. The driver was very nice and informative, but wildlife was scarce. I guess wildlife has their own schedule and agenda.Relaxing day..

Met the driver/guide at the cruise ship dock & boarded a van for the afternoon excursion looking for eagles & bears. We spotted an eagle on a sandbags & many perched high on poles or in the trees. We visited the park & was treated to a beautiful view of the lake, glacier & king fisher bird. It was such a gorgeous setting. We headed back to the river & waited to see if any bears showed up. Sadly they did not. It was still a nice outing & the guide was delightful.

A great trip on a raft down the Chilkat river. It is a chilled activity with amazing views, lots of eagles and other wildlife to see.Steve, Jack and the team were amazing and took good care of everyone.

Our tour guides were Kate and Joe. They did a fantastic job with our group and were very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. This experience was worth every penny.

Derek is the best, he made sure we all had plenty of time to view and take in all that there was due to his excellant knowledge of the area. He even scouted out and found a nesting Eagles pair with new hatchlings. We very much appreciate his commitment and his expertise that truly gave us a exceptional visit to Haines, Alaska. We saw a Momma brown bear and her 4 cubs, a moose momma and her 2 babies, a baby eagle in its nest and numerous ducks and birds.

Tom was an amazing guide and wealth of knowledge. He made sure to customize the tour to our interests and was very helpful photography tips and tricks. We cannot recommend him enough. We look forward to getting back to Haines and booking another tour.

On a cruise and had not scheduled anything for Haines. thought we should take a day off. Well, my wife wasn't feeling well and I decided at the last minute to book a tour with Tom. It was terrific. Tom mixes just the right blend of history/culture, nature, and photography. Although there's never any guarantees with wild animals, we saw black bear and brown bear (i.e. Grizzly with cubs), eagles, etc. Tom knows the area like the back of his hand and seems to know everyone in the community. Great eye for spotting birds, bears, etc. Also, I went to book the afternoon before - he fortunately had an opening and the communication through Cool Alaska was really great. Finally, check out his website and there's a link to "Smugmug" which is his photography site. His images are really beautiful. I would book him again if/when I return to Haines. (PS: if you're there on a cruise, the early evening sail out of Haines when the sun is setting is one of the most magical experiences you will ever experience - weather permitting)!!! (Note that all of the attached pictures except the Eagle were during the tour with Tom).

Beautiful raft ride down the river. The staff was all wonderful. Our river guide, Steve, did a great job keeping us moving along the river pointing out eagles and nests along the way . We were picked up at the end by bus and provided a great lunch from a local cafe to enjoy.

Beth and Joe were fantastic. Very knowledgeable and informative. They made the tour fun and would definitely recommend booking with them.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Alaska Wildlife Canoe SafariWe had a fantastic time on the Alaska Wildlife Canoe Safari. It was a brilliant combination of beautiful scenery, wildlife, adventure and plenty of time to simply relax and enjoy the incredible Alaskan surroundings.Our guide, Ava, was excellent. She was friendly, fun and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing so much about the local area and wildlife throughout the experience. Her expert knowledge really added to the tour without ever making it feel overly structured or rushed.We had some great wildlife sightings, beautiful views and plenty of opportunities to stop and really take everything in. The included lunch was also a lovely addition and made the whole experience feel very complete.A really enjoyable and memorable way to experience Alaska, especially if you want something that combines wildlife and adventure with a more relaxed pace.Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This experience was phenomenal. Our driver and rower did such a wonderful job. We love supporting a local family company and they did not disappoint! Highly recommended!

Our guide Derek was outstanding and was helpful as well as very concerned for our safety. He took us to areas where he felt we would have the best opportunity for good photography and checked with locals as to sightings of wildlife. We had great sightings and he assisted us in getting us get the best photos possible. Thanks so much! Pam H

NOAH & ELLEN were absolutley amazing guides. They were so prepared and full of information and were genuinely kind and wonderful humans. We essentially had a tour of 4 on the lake by ourselves with Noah. The lake was like glass! Noah was able to show us spawning salmon, a newly built beavers nest, so much wildlife and was so chock full of knowledge it made the experience so ridiculoulsy unbelievably awesome. It was a day you only dream about and we lived it! Thank you to the entire team, it was truly magical because of all of them and how much they cared about the surroundings!
