This tour combines rugged off‑roading with some of the most dramatic rainforest and ocean views in Southeast Alaska. Your Polaris RZR XP 1000 takes you along a 14‑mile mountain trail carved through towering trees, steep curves, and high‑elevation overlooks with sweeping views of Behm Canal and the Inside Passage.
Unlike typical sightseeing tours, this experience puts you in the driver’s seat — literally — offering real adventure, real terrain, and the chance to get muddy, wet, and fully immersed in the wild. Meeting and Pickup
All guests on NCL will be picked up at Ward Cove.All guests off other ships will be docked downtown and will meet at the Ketchikan Visitors Center by the bronze statue and rain gauge. We will have staff there waiting for you.
What To Expect
Get behind the wheel of a Polaris RZR XP 1000 and experience Ketchikan’s wild side on this high‑energy off‑road adventure. Your journey begins with a scenic drive along the coast, then into the Tongass National Forest. Guests receive a quick briefing and safety meeting, then your guide outfits you with gear and leads you onto a rugged 14‑mile mountain trail ascent. Navigate winding dirt roads, climb through dense rainforest, and stop at panoramic overlooks with sweeping views of Behm Canal, the Inside Passage, and Alaska’s iconic wilderness.
Along the way, watch for eagles, bears, deer, and other wildlife that call the Tongass home. Your guide sets a comfortable pace, ensures safety, and shares local insight at the stopping points.
Transportation from Ketchikan is included.
Drivers must be 18+ with a valid license.
