Unlike large tour groups, this experience focuses on real hiking and meaningful connection. Your local guide will share insights about Tongass National Forest's plants, wildlife and history while leading you through old-growth forest and along the rushing waters of Lunch Creek.

What To Expect
Escape the crowd and experience real rainforest hiking on this small group adventure through the Tongass National Forest. Limited to 6 guests, this guided hike follows Lunch Creek trail into lush old-growth forest, climbing from sea level toward the peaceful mountain setting of Emery Tobin Lake.
Led by a lifelong Ketchikan local who grew up exploring these trails, you'll hike alongside cascading creek waters through towering cedar, hemlock and Sitka spruce while learning about the unique ecology and history of Southeast Alaska. This is a true hiking experience designed for travelers who want to explore beyond the typical cruise excursion.
Travel at a comfortable pace with plenty of time to take in the scenery and enjoy the quiet beauty of the rainforest.
You will arrive back to the docks after your adventure with plenty of time before your ship departure.
