Ketchikan Holiday & Seasonal Tours

We had a lovely time cruising with Lighthouse Excursions. Tour guides and Deb crew were considerate and thorough. Fun local snacks and lots of seating. We even got to see a whale feed! Bald eagles were beautiful and easy to spot!

Our return to ward cove went great, left on time, had a great all women crew. Coffee was hot. Very scenic cruise, very informative. Returned I. Plenty of time to the ship and was able to shop as well. Highly recommend.

Nice all woman crew. Very informative, great boating skills. We were able to avoid the lines for free shuttle to town and it was well worth the cost of the ticket. The dock is right near all the shops, close to the fire department and then creek street. Highly recommend.

It was an awesome excursion. Crew on ship were all very nice and accommodating. Had a wonderful Alaskan Snack while on board. Saw Eagles, Totem Bight Park from the water, a lighthouse and sea lions. Would highly recommend.

We loved this two hour cruise. We saw lots of eagles, seals, deer, salmon, and whales. It was awesome! Ketchican is a beautiful area and we were happy to learn more about it and see more of its beauty.

Great experience on the water taxi in Ketchikan. Boat captain very knowledgeable about the area. Really e joyed the one hour + ride 😄

During this trip, the boat tour back to ship provided beautiful views of Ketchikan that would not be seen otherwise! The staff was great and provided lots of colorful commentary about the local area. We definitely prefer the small tour experience, not to mention it saved 9 blocks of walking back to the bus station! In Alaska take a small group boat tour wherever you can!

A unique opportunity to see Ketchikan through the eyes of locals. Terry and Judy were amazing hosts and they treated us friends. We learned interesting history and visited 2 local pubs.

Fantastic Blend of Local Flavor and History! Fish Tales and Ales was the perfect mix of local charm, historic landmarks, and great storytelling. The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the area—they made every stop engaging and fun. We loved visiting off-the-beaten-path spots alongside iconic historic sites, all while enjoying great local brews. A must-do if you want to experience the real flavor of the region with fantastic guides leading the way!

Terry the guide was on time and very pleasant and knowledgeable of the area, we had a few pints with locals and time to chat a little, Terry took a few photos of us on route which was nice, but as yet we have not received copies as promised, shame !

Thank you so much for the amazing time Sharon! I really enjoyed learning about the Totem's in Totem Bight and their connection to your family. I also loved all the pearls of ancestral wisdom sprinkled throughout the tour such as fearing the land otter, knowing to be more cautious of bears when the skunk cabbage is out, and all the insights of new learning about the historical practices of carving, preserving and returning the Totem's to the Earth. Your patience as our group would stop and talk and share, allowing us time for visiting and then picking up where you left off before we left helped me really enjoy my short visit - the pacing felt perfect. Loved the rich stories and learning of the cultural practices such as how the ceremonial house was used and that the family walked behind the Matriach - love it! This trip has been powerfully healing to me. If I were to capture a headline for this trip, it came from Sharon. "Finding my grandmother's voice," she shared, was a concept meaning really finding that deep connection to your roots, to who you are, discovering your inner wisdom. Wow. So powerful, and to return to my childhood home, so many memories - some good, some bad, so fortunate to have spent my extremely brief visit with Sharon. Her warmth, passion for learning and teaching about her culture really shines through. Sharon has such a wealth of knowledge about the Native culture, plants, wildlife and the Ocean. Sharon is a true Alaskan gem, one of the wise leaders among the indigenous Natives of Ketchikan, taking great pride and joy in teaching the culture as a way of preserving and protecting their history and cultural practices. Along with the wisdom from her elders, she shares new insights from what they are learning now about the history and restoration of these magnificent totems. I could listen to her share all day long! Thank you so much for making this trip so special Sharon!

Kevin was amazing. We learned so much about the area and customs. The views were beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour. It was the best one we have during our stay in Alaska.

This is a great tour. A comfortable boat, with a knowledgeable, pleasant crew. You will enjoy your time aboard with them. They kept a nice narration throughout the trip. The crew was very helpful and courteous. The kids on the tour enjoyed themselves.The boat was well maintained and handled well.Take my word for it. I'm a local, with no connection to the operation.

Excellent excursion. I saw eagles and eagles nests, harbor seals, some totem poles and a clan house, the lighthouse and wonderful alaskan scenery. I enjoyed delicious hot chocolate, a snack plate that included smoked salmon with a chutney on it(raspberry I think), salmon dip with crackers, a pickle made from seaweed and dark chocolate and a coke! The captain and crew were amazing and they even had binoculars available of you didn't bring your own. I highly recommend this excursion. I still had time after to take the shuttle from ward cove to downtown Ketchikan to explore in the afternoon.

It was a great one on one experience with someone who was a local. Better than a group experience. Knew the history of the area and the good bars
