The best whale watching tour in Juneau!
Amazing experience from the meeting point to the drop off. Small group of 15 people. We had Rita as our entertaining driver who took us to whale watching first. Captain Jay and Savannah took great care of our group even with choppy conditions. We saw so many whales and even got to see several bubble feedings and two breaches which was an out of this world experience. Then Rita took us to Mendenhall Glacier where we took the walk to Nuggets Falls which was so worth it and then took some great pictures of the Glacier on our way back up to the visitor center. Such a fantastic day and we highly recommend Dolphin Jet Tours.

Unbelievable wildlife experience and top-tier captain
Booked the Kenai Fjords Glacier & Wildlife afternoon cruise with Major Marine Tours through Cool Alaska, and it ended up being an absolute highlight of the trip. Logistics coming off the cruise ship terminal were completely seamless. Having the complimentary shuttle right outside made the transfer to the Harbor 360 Hotel lobby effortless, and being able to store our luggage securely at their desk for free during the tour took all the usual travel friction out of the equation. The tour itself blew our expectations out of the water. We ran into an entire family pod of over 20 orca whales, which was an unbelievable sight, along with sea lions, sea otters, and bald eagles. Our captain did a phenomenal job spotting and tracking wildlife across the water, maneuvered us safely right up close to the face of the glacier, and even served up glacier margaritas on board. The narration over the PA was clear, calm, easy to follow, and packed with interesting context without feeling rehearsed or intrusive. Comfortable, well-maintained boat, exceptional crew, and zero logistical stress. If you are stopping through Seward, this is the tour to book.

Excellent tour, full day with short transfer from terminal to marina. Glacier express was clean with comfy seats, excellent commentary, delish picnic lunch (turkey/roastbeef or vege sandwich + chip and granola bar and soda or lemonade). We seen puffin, sea otters, lots of birds, orcas, sea lions, bald eagles and mountain goats! Sooo much and the time flew by fast because we had so much fun! Def recommend!

This is highly recommended. I did the 7.5 hr trip . Super well organised despite numbers and always space to see . Get allocated table , lunch was a generous filled sandwich , crisps snack and drink ( other foods can be purchased through the tour £ and can wander round ship to see what need and want to see .. good space for everyone outside for this . Fantastic Captain with great commentary and great crew .. good team spirit . Easy location to pick up . Amazing scene and wildlife with perfect background commentary and alerts seeing the spectacular Holgate and Aialuk Glaciers .. the latter “ calving “ .. a stunning and amazing day ..
