What To Expect
Enjoy a private, premium Juneau experience designed around your group. This 6-hour tour combines about 2.5 to 3 hours of whale watching with 3 hours of customizable sightseeing led by a local guide. Your day is planned around weather, wildlife activity, ship schedule, and what your group wants most.
On the water, travel by comfortable private boat with indoor and outdoor seating, great viewing areas, and excellent sightlines from every seat. We search for humpback whales and wildlife such as sea lions, bald eagles, harbor seals, porpoises, and occasionally orcas. We take you as close to the whales as legally allowed while keeping it safe and uncrowded.
The sightseeing portion is flexible and personal. Stops may include glacier viewing, hiking, DIPAC Salmon Hatchery, Shrine of St. Therese, Eagle Beach, Treadwell Mine ruins, scenic viewpoints, history stops, or other favorite Juneau locations. This is not a rigid bus tour. It is Juneau with a local, your way.

As an active member of the Dolphin SMART program, we do not have physical contact with the dolphins on Private 6-Hour Juneau Whale Watching and Custom Sightseeing Tour. We watch them in their natural habitat from the boat.
Dec 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (AKDT).
