Sled Dog Kennel Tour
Overview
Get to know the dogs of Susitna Sled Dog Adventures!
Visit the home and kennel of Iditarod musher Rohn Buser and family, and spend time with our friendly team of Iditarod sled dogs as they run, play, and show off their personalities in a fenced-in yard.
Learn what it takes to train and care for a team of canine athletes. We'll share stories from the trail, explain how sled dog racing works, and show you why these incredible dogs love their jobs.
After some playtime in the yard, we'll harness up a dog, introduce you to the sled, and talk about the gear we use during Alaska's long winters. If we have puppies, we'll finish the visit with cuddles from the next generation of athletes.
This tour is perfect for dog lovers who want an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at life in a working Iditarod kennel and, of course, a healthy dose of dog therapy.
Tour is not recommended for very small children, as excited sled dogs will be running freely in the yard.
