Venture deep into the Alaskan wilderness on this 4-hour boat journey up the legendary Stikine River to the breathtaking Shakes Lake and Glacier. Known as one of North America's last truly wild rivers, the Stikine winds through untouched landscapes of dense forest, steep-walled canyons, and glacial valleys.
Your adventure begins in Wrangell, where you’ll board a custom high-speed boat designed for comfort and exploration. As you navigate the braided river channels, keep an eye out for moose, bald eagles, and even black bears along the shoreline. At Shakes Lake, drift among icebergs that have calved from the stunning face of Shakes Glacier—a pristine, remote sight few get to witness.

If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
