Packable rafts (~5 lbs) are exceptionally portable and easily fit in a backpack. Whether traveling alone or with family, this trip is sure to make the highlight reel of your weekend getaway or once-in-a-lifetime Alaskan Vacation! Packraft tours accommodate up to two guest to provide an exclusive, privately guided experience. Trip starts and end in the historic Ninilchik Village and begins and ends with ~1 mile hike that can include a boreal forest and Cook Inlet ecology tour at your request. Keep your eyes peeled for moose, bald eagles and even the occasional black bear along the banks of Deep Creek!

What To Expect
Your Packraft tour will begin with a safety and equipment orientation prior to packrafting instruction and practice. Once you complete the orientation and paddle practice, you will pack up your equipment and drive to the trailhead for the hike (.75 miles) to the put in on Deep Creek. Once at the creek, you will don your safety equipment and inflate your Packraft before your begin your packraft tour to the tidewaters of Cook Inlet! Upon arriving at the creek mouth, you will pack up your raft and begin the trek (1.25 miles) down the beaches of Cook Inlet to your destination at the historic Ninilchik Village. Be sure to bring high quality packable rain gear, warm clothes (non bulky warm layers without a hood fit best under your drysuit), lace up closed toed river shoes (old tennis shoes work best) a snack and a full 1 liter water bottle. Your trip will take place rain or shine, so dress accordingly!

- Must be capable of physical exertion and exercise
